Description
Portfolio Day at Villa is back and you're invited!
Join us on November 19th from 9am to 12pm in our Main Building for a free event for local art students. Bring your portfolio and have it reviewed by the renowned art faculty at Villa Maria College and our professional artist friends and partners in the community. Art disciplines represented at the event include graphic design, fine arts, photography, animation, interior design, and more!
Leave with constructive feedback, a greater understanding of art majors and careers, and a parting gift from The College!

Questions & Answers
- How many pieces should my portfolio feature?
We like to see around 5-10 works of art in a portfolio. However, if your portfolio is not quite "review ready" in your opinion, still bring what you've got! We'd love to take a look and offer you some ideas to add.
- What sorts of pieces should my portfolio include?
Bring pieces that you think represent the breadth of your artistic talents, including several different mediums if possible. Portfolio pieces can include art class assignments as well and independent work.
- What is the format for the event?
The event is very free flowing. Check in, grab a guide, stop in to any/all the reviewer's stations you want, and stay as long as you like!
- What art disciplines will be represented at the event?
There will be representatives from all of Villa's art majors including: Animation, Fine Arts, Game Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Film, Motion Design, and Photography.
- My high school art class can't make. Can I still come?
Yup. Uh-huh. You bet. Please do. YES! Come and bring your artist friends!
- What if my portfolio is not "done done"?
Still come! We will review what you have and give you some guidance on where to go next!
- What is the cost to attend the event?
The cost is $0. It's FREE.
- I can't make it that day. Can I schedule a personal review?
YES! Email jtorella@villa.edu to schedule that.
- How is parking for the event?
Super duper easy and plentiful. Follow the signs to behind the Main Building, there's two big lots back there.
